Challenge
Create a theme switcher website that showcases the 2024 flower garden.
Solution
We created a cool mini site with a theme switcher that allows a user to switch from light and dark themes. Plus, if you go to a different page it will remember what theme you are on.
Mobile and Desktop
Development
This site only took us 3 days to create! Yes the site is small but making the theme switch work really motivated us to get this up and running. We first designed the site in our favorite design app Sketch. We then built the site in Webflow using the framework Lumos 2.4 - created by Timothy Ricks.
Theme Switching
We wanted the ability for the user to change the theme of the website from dark or light and for the site to remember what theme the user is on if they choose to go to a different page. With the help of using the Lumos 2.4 framework, and a bit of custom code, this wasn't too hard to accomplish.
SVG Clouds That Change Color
We wanted the clouds to be able to change theme as well while they go across the screen. Overall this simple site was quick and a gem of a build. We are very happy with it!
